Welcome to the Emporium Hotel and surrounding area:

Emporium Hotel Cocktail Bar
Sipping exquisite cocktails and treating yourself to the tapas menu in the opulent Cocktail Bar is an experience rarely overlooked by Brisbane’s social scene and Hotel guests alike. Surrounded by an eclectic collection of locally made, custom designed and internationally sourced antiques, with live Music Friday and Saturday nights, guests of the bar can have an exquisite experience unique only to those at the Emporium Hotel.

Belle Époque Patisserie
Located adjacent to the Hotel’s striking lobby, the Belle Époque Patisserie is an essential part of any guest’s and local’s day. For the business guest, it is their morning cappuccino to go while Concierge holds their taxi; for the guest with time to be well spent, it is a freshly made turkey baguette while sitting in Parisian style overlooking the Emporium Precinct; and for the guest with a taste for sweets, it is a raspberry tart with a box of assorted Macaroons for the journey home.

Rooftop Terrace
This exclusive retreat is perfect for any guest looking to escape from the hectic lifestyle of the streets below. Crowning the Emporium Hotel, the rooftop terrace boasts a 15 meter salt water lap pool, sauna and gymnasium. Poolside snacks are only a phone call away as well as a signature cocktail list, designed specifically to be enjoyed on the sun lounges.  With opening hours from 5:30am to 10:00pm daily, all guests can find time in their schedules to escape and relax.

In-Suite Beauty Treatments
This is an essential indulgence for all guests. In the privacy of your suite, you can select from an extensive menu of beauty treatments. Whether it is an Aromatherapy Full Body Massage or the Ultimate Indulgence Package, Concierge is more than happy to arrange it all for you. All you have to do is relax.

Shop in Style:

Emporium Precinct
A retail, lifestyle and dining precinct featuring the most renowned and luxurious brands. Carried in the numerous boutiques, Versace, Tom Ford, Alexander McQueen, Paul Smith, Tod’s, Dolce & Gabbana and Diane Von Furstenberg are just a few of the international lines available at Emporium. Home ware stores sell gorgeous gifts to make your stay at Emporium Hotel that much more special. And don’t worry about having to carry all those bags back to your room – Emporium Concierge is only a phone call away.

Fortitude Valley
Traditionally the culture hub of Brisbane, Fortitude Valley is a forever changing scene of obscure labels and alley way stores. Just ask Emporium’s Concierge for the directions and in a short walk you will be in the heart of it. Art galleries, markets, high end and bargain boutiques litter the main streets and alley ways of The Valley with pieces unique to Brisbane.

James Street
Walking distance from the Emporium Hotel, James Street is lined with gift and home ware stores, designer fashion and countless cafes and restaurants. The James Street Markets is at the centre of it all with the highest quality seasonal produce, gorgeous florists, and irresistible eateries. Designer labels such as Camilla, Mimco and Sass & Bide lure the fashion elite while gift ware stores like Magnolia Interiors, Ellia and Ivy & Bird bring exquisite local and international pieces to your fingertips.

Queen Street Mall
At the centre of Brisbane’s CBD lies the Queen Street Mall. This is where guests of the Emporium Hotel go to become shopping exhausted (if that is possible for some). Large department stores such as Myer and David Jones dominate with countless other well known brands such as Guess, The Body Shop, Aesop, Ben Sherman, Lee and Lorna Jane. High end international labels line the Edward Street end with brands such as Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Ralph Lauren, Mont Blanc, Tiffany & Co., Max Mara and Hugo Boss. Concierge of course can provide detailed directions and organise transport as required.

Gourmet Experiences:

Emporium Precinct
Emporium Hotel guests are surrounded with a diverse array of restaurants right at your doorstep. The Emporium Precinct has every continent covered with Mexican, Italian, Moroccan, Asian, French and modern Australian cuisines to choose from. Ristorante Tartufo is recommended highly by Concierge. Ranking number five in Brisbane (Gourmet Traveller 2012) Tartufo is second to none for service and its classic Italian menu, carefully designed by the awarded owner and chef, Tony Percuoco, leaves every guest re-booking a table for their next stay. For breakfast you cannot miss Buzz cafe. Their smoothies, breakfast meals and coffees are only rivalled by the fast pasted atmosphere constantly exuding from the cafe. Other restaurants include Mecca Bah, Capri, Wagamama, Guzman & Gomez, Movenpick Ice Cream, Poppy Cakes and Grill’d.

Eagle Street & City
The famous Eagle Street Pier is only a short taxi ride from the Emporium Hotel and can boast some of Brisbane’s leading restaurants. Overlooking the iconic Brisbane River and Story Bridge, award winning restaurants include Aria (ranked second in Brisbane), Cha Cha Char, Jellyfish, Alchemy and Sake. Just around the corner in the CBD is The Euro and Urbane (ranked third in Brisbane) which boasts unparalleled European cuisine (al a carte or degustation) and service. Reservations are essential, but as always Concierge are more than happy to arrange your table and transport.

Similar to the Emporium Precinct, Portside Wharf provides a host of bars and restaurants ranging from the dine and dash to a perfect night out for a special occasion. With beautiful and original restaurants such as Byblos, Gusto da Gianni and Sono, guests of the Emporium Hotel will have no trouble finding something they love.  Located on the Brisbane River, portside wharf is only a short taxi trip from the Hotel.

James Street, New Farm & Teneriffe
If you are in the mood for brunch, James Street is the place to go. Littered with amazing hole in the wall coffee stores, back alley patisseries and phenomenal restaurants for any meal, James Street has it all. Emporium Hotel’s Concierge recommends simply taking a stroll to James Street (a mere 400 meters from the Hotel) and check out the restaurants for yourself – there are dozens but we are sure there will be one perfect for you! Standouts include Harvey’s, Campos Coffee, and Fresh Sushi Co.

The greater New Farm suburb and Teneriffe are home to many of Brisbane’s fantastic, although a bit quirky at times, restaurants. For the adventurous guest, or someone who simply wants to try something different, New Farm is the place for you. The Himalayan Cafe on Brunswick Street is a truly authentic experience with the native decor and dim lamps for light. To the gourmet traveller’s, you cannot miss Anise. This tiny bistro and wine bar can only cater for up to 17 guests, but for what they lack in size they tremendously make up for in their food. Elegantly plated dishes with carefully matched wine set the tone for a truly intimate evening. Classic favourites also include Cafe Del Ugo, Watt Restaurant and Bar, Beccofino and Bucci.
